Portrait of a Cat

Saturday was the fifth annual World Wide PhotoWalk. I decided to shoot with a single lens for the walk (as opposed to switching back and forth), and decided that I’d break out the lensbaby for the first time in a long time. I figured I’d stick with a singleĀ apertureĀ for the day as well, since changing the magnetic discs can be a pain. So, while I was figuring all this out at home, I took a few test shots and liked this one of Annie. This was with the f/5.6 disc, before I switched to f/8 for the walk. I put a pretty heavy vignette on here, and I likely will on most of the photowalk images; the lensbaby blur can be a little disorienting and I think it helps to burn it down a touch–enough so that I’m wondering if I should find a clear filter for it and darken in the edges to do the vignette naturally.

There will be more photos coming over the next week or two, as I finish the processing on the photos.
