Tale of a Whale
My only keeper from the EcoTours Zodiac tour of the 15 frames I got off before I got too sick to hold up my camera. When I didn’t start teh day at 100% I should have known better than to go, but I really wanted to get some puffin pictures.

Wonderful detail and light here, Geoff. That's better then most of us got on last year's trip out there.
Too bad you couldn't have stayed out, but "dems the breaks", I guess. BTW, none of us got any puffin pictures... the whales were just too active and we wouldn't leave them until almost dark.

Nice framing anyway, of your 15 shots you managed to get

It's not quite puffin size, but a fine compensation for getting sea-sick. I hope you think so too.

Nice shot, Geoff. The white is such a nice contrast to the beautiful blue of the water. And the puffins are still there for you!

This certainly is a keeper. You can always get Puffins but whales are not always around. Well composed and focus dead on !

Gorgeous image, Geoff. Sorry to hear you weren't in the best form, but you sure captured this one beautifully!
